Add-on

Your booking number, on the TV in your photos

When someone finds your photos on your own website or social media, they should be able to see how to book with you directly. This add-on puts your phone number — and your logo, if you like — on the TV in the photos you choose, fitted to the screen's angle and the light in the room, so it looks switched on rather than stuck on. No TV in the room? It goes on a small sign instead.

The same living room, with the TV now showing a welcome screen: Book your next stay direct, 07700 900123, call or WhatsApp to book
Drag the handle to compare. The same photograph, before and after the add-on.

How it works

  1. 1Add it to your quote

Tick “Your number on the TV” in the quote builder and say what it should show — your number and a few words. Send your logo too if you'd like it on the screen.

  2. 2I shoot your property as usual

Nothing changes on the day. The add-on happens afterwards, in editing.

  3. 3Your details go on the screen

On the TV in the photos we agree, matched to its angle and the room's light. Where there's no TV, a small sign or framed print carries them instead.

  4. 4You choose the copies

Branded only, or branded and clean — pick in the quote builder. Your other photos from the shoot come as normal either way.

The same print reprinted as a sign: Book direct, 07700 900123, call or WhatsApp to book
No TV in shot: a print on the dining-room wall, reprinted as a booking sign.

Where to use them

On your own booking website, your social media and your adverts.

Keep your normal photos for Airbnb and the other booking sites. Airbnb's rules keep contact with guests on Airbnb until they book, and they cover what can be seen in listing photos — a number on the TV there can get photos or a listing taken down.

Booking a shoot?

£25 for up to 3 photos from your shoot; more are priced with your quote.

Already have photos?

Those can be done too, as photo retouching — with any other edits they need. I'll tell you which ones will work and what it costs.

The pictures are illustrations made for this page from my own photographs. The number is from the range Ofcom keeps for TV and radio drama, so it doesn't ring anyone.

Every town covered

From £150First 10 miles free

Distances are road miles from Halifax town centre, as a guide. Further away, travel is added to your quote — you'll have the full price before anything is booked. Tap a town for what the property stock is like there, which postcodes are covered and how the shoot actually runs.

Further than 50 miles

I shoot anywhere in the UK, but I am not going to pretend a drive to Cornwall is a mileage line on an invoice. Past about 50 miles the travel stops being an add-on and becomes most of the working day, so it is quoted as a day rate rather than by the mile.

That usually works in your favour. A day covers as many properties as we can reasonably get through, so an operator with four units in one city pays once for the journey instead of four times. Tell me how many, and roughly where, and you will get a figure the same day.

  • Several properties in one area — priced as a day, not per property.
  • Portfolio landlords and letting agents with units across a city.
  • Serviced accommodation operators refreshing a whole listing set at once.

Shot for the site it is going on

Foldscapes is a web design studio first, and a fair share of this photography is shot for a website I am also building. The photographs come out differently when that is true — framed to the crop the layout actually uses, rather than shot square and cut down badly afterwards. If you are setting up a holiday let site that takes direct bookings, the photography and the build are usually worth doing as one job.

Common questions

How much does property photography cost?+

Photography starts from £150 for a studio or a home with up to 3 bedrooms. Four or more bedrooms, several properties and unusual spaces are quoted individually, before the shoot. The first 10 miles of travel from Halifax are free. Further away, travel is added to your quote — you'll have the full price before anything is booked. Tell me about the property and I'll arrange a time, your price and your shoot with you. Optional edits such as virtual staging and a day-to-dusk edit are priced separately, and only if you choose them.

Do you charge a call-out fee on top?+

No. Beyond the photography, the only additions are travel past the first 10 free miles and any optional edits you choose, such as virtual staging — all agreed before the shoot. There is no call-out charge, and the shoot itself is not priced per image.

Do you cover the whole UK?+

Yes. Past about 50 miles from Halifax the drive stops being an add-on and becomes most of the day, so it is quoted as a day rate instead — which usually works out better anyway if you have several properties to get through, because a day covers as many as we can reasonably fit in.

Can you do several properties in one visit?+

Yes, and it is much cheaper than booking them separately — you pay the travel once. Portfolio landlords, letting agents and serviced accommodation operators with a few units nearby are the usual case. Tell me how many and roughly where and I will price the set rather than each one.

What if my home has more than 3 bedrooms?+

Four or more bedrooms, several properties at once, and commercial or unusually large spaces are quoted individually rather than from £150. Choose that option in the quote builder and add a note about the property — your enquiry still goes through with everything you selected.

What is a day-to-dusk edit?+

A digital edit that turns a daytime exterior photograph into a twilight-style image — it is not a second visit at sunset. It covers up to 3 exterior photographs per shoot, and its price is confirmed with your quote. Like any edit, it changes how a photograph looks, not the property: it cannot remove a permanent defect or change the size of a room.

Can you add furniture to photographs of empty rooms?+

Yes — virtual staging adds furniture digitally to photographs of empty rooms. It is priced per image, confirmed with your quote, and every photograph counts: two angles of the same room are two images.

Can you put my phone number on the TV in my photos?+

Yes — it's an add-on. Your number (and your logo, if you like) goes on the TV in the photos you choose, matched to the screen's angle and the room's light, or on a small sign where there's no TV. With a shoot it is £25 for up to 3 photos; photos you already have can be done too, on the photo retouching page. You choose the copies: branded only, or clean ones of the same photos too. Use the branded ones on your own website and social media, and clean ones for Airbnb, whose rules keep contact with guests on Airbnb until they book.

When will I get the photographs?+

Delivery timing confirmed with your quote.

What happens after I send my details?+

WhatsApp is quickest: the quote builder opens a WhatsApp message with your choices written out, and you check it and press send. You can send the same details by email from the page instead, though email replies can take a few days. Either way I'll get back to you to arrange a time, your price and your shoot. Nothing is booked until you agree.

Is it you taking the photographs?+

Yes. Foldscapes is a one-person studio — Mustafa Haroon drives there, shoots it and edits it. Nothing is passed to a subcontractor, which is the reason the coverage map has an honest edge to it rather than claiming every town in the country.
